In addition to regular coaching duties, Tony offer his assistance to players in preparing for college and act as a liaison between the players and recruiters.  Tony has extensive college coaching experience, having spent five years at  Edmonds Community College (3 NWAACC Tournament appearances and a 3rd place in 2008); four years at Bellevue College (finished his career there with a record of 39-9 in the North Division and 124 – 76 overall, was voted coach of the year in the Northern Division in 2001 & 2002, and in 2002 was voted all-NWAACC coach of the year); and Two years as assistant coach at Seattle Pacific University in 1999 & 2000. Tony has taken four separate juniors teams to YJOV National Championship events. He began his coaching career in 1989 for Northwest Juniors.

2008 & 2009 Graduate Assistant Coach at Edmonds Community College.  Has played beach several years and is in his second year of coaching college volleyball.  "V" was the head coach of a very successful 15 Heat team last year and a very popular coach at the Edmonds club.  He plays indoor and outdoor volleyball and brings great youth and enthusiasm to the staff.  He is a patient and knowledgeable coach with a great understanding of the game.

Cy has been playing volleyball for seven years.  Two of those years were with the University of Idaho Men's Club Program where he played middle and outside.  Four the past four years Cy has been an active member of Seattle area volleyball.  He has played indoor and outdoor adult leagues as well as USAV men’s tournaments. This will be Cy’s third year with NW Juniors VBC and first as a head coach.

Amanda Crank

Amanda is an alumni of Bellevue College and 2006 alumni of Issaquah High School (3rd place at State 3A in 2005).  For the 2007 college season, she was named to the Northern Region second team, and to the Sophomore All-Star team.  She has been a part of Northwest Juniors (on a National team) since her days as a 14 Storm Player.  She is a DS/Libero at BCC and was honored as a 2006 Honorable Mention as a member of the Seattle Times 3A All-State team.  She also coached at NW Juniors volleyball camps the past 2 summers.  In 2006 she was the assistant coach for the 14 Storm Team. Amanda is currently the assistant coach at Bellevue College.

Wes is an alumni of the University of Idaho where he played club volleyball for 3 years.  As a setter Wes was a leader on and off the court and he was the elected club team captain his junior and senior year.  This will be Wes’s first year coaching club and he is excited to share his experience as a setter.

Andrew is a graduate Student at the University of Washington and a current Assistant coach at Bellevue College.  Before his move to Seattle, he was the Varsity coach at Lakeland Christian School (FL), spent 7+ years coaching club, worked several years as a lead camp coach for the NBC camps for several years, and has worked the Northwest Juniors Camps and All Star Volleyball Academy Camps this past summer.  Andrew is also a Certified Fitness Trainer.  In 2009, he was the head coach of the 16 Storm team.

Caroline Thompson

Caroline started playing volleyball the summer before 8th grade.  Her volleyball career included playing all through high school and 3 years of club ball.  When she was a junior in high school, she played for the Wisconsin Juniors 17-1's team.  It was this team that won the National Qualifier in Tampa, FL which qualified them to go to the Junior Olympics in Houston in June of 2004.  Here her team placed 3rd and was awarded the bronze medal.  She continued on to start as an OH on the University of Iowa's women's club team as a freshman, after which she retired from her volleyball playing career.  This is her first year coaching and is really excited to pass her knowledge of the game onto younger players

Emily assisted her sister Lindsey on the 16 Blizzard team in 2009 and returns in that capacity this season.  She is a sophomore and the starting setter for the Edmonds Community College volleyball team.  She played three seasons with NW Juniors and Juanita HS before joining the EdCC team.  She is a setter for the Tritons and has extensive coaching experience assisting club teams and working summer camps.

Lindsey was the head coach of the NW Juniors 16 Blizzard team in 2009 and led them to a very successful season.  She began as staff coach for NW Juniors in 2005 as an assistant coach for our 13 Thunder Team and has coached with NW Juniors for several years, coaching 18's, 16's and 13's on separate occasions.  She is a graduate of Juanita HS and also assisted there after graduation.

Dorina Goetz

Dorina coached in 2009 for Tidewater Volleyball Association, in Virginia Beach and is a new transplant to the Seattle area.  She is stationed at the US Coast Guard Training Center in Yorktown and is relocating to Seattle with her husband.  Originally from Romania, she grew up in Portland playing volleyball since the age of 12. Her career with Westside Volleyball Club in Oregon and Varsity High School Volleyball was capitalized by being named to the All-Metro Team as a defensive specialist. During college, she assisted for the Sunset High School Varsity Volleyball Team in Portland which perpetuated her love for coaching.  In Virginia, she competed in indoor and beach volleyball at the Women's AA/Open level.  She also played libero for the 2009 All Navy Team.  While with Tidewater, she coached 16's in 2008 and 12's in 2009.  She was also the Head Coach of the Norfolk Christian Varsity Girl's Volleyball Team. Her enthusiasm, knowledge of the defensive game, and passion for volleyball make her a great addition to NW Juniors Elite and perfect for our U14's Elite Program.

Meagan is currently a Freshman DS at Edmonds Community College. She went to Kings High School, where she won a state championship her senior year.  She has coached summer camps and youth volleyball for Boys and Girls Clubs.

Currently head coach at Eastlake High School, Gaylene has been a part of local volleyball for almost 20 years.  She has been with Northwest Juniors for several years as a coach and/or a parent.  Her oldest daughter Karly played for NW Juniors and graduated from Eastlake in 2008 and she still has two more in her program: Carly (junior) and Shayla (sophomore).  She returns to NW Juniors taking over the 17's team for the 2010 season.

Katie played three seasons with NW Juniors (and Eastlake HS) before playing for the BCC team in 2007.  She is currently the C Team Coach at Eastlake High School, under her former coach, Gaylene.  This will be the second season she serves as club assistant for Coach Page.

Emily is currently the head volleyball coach at Seattle Lutheran HS, where she has been part of the program as a coach for 3+ years.  She is a recent graduate of Seattle Pacific University.  Her volleyball experience dates back to her club days where she played 6 seasons with Saddleback Volleyball Club in Southern California.

This is Brianna's second year coaching club.  2001 Graduate of Colfax HS where she was a setter and opposite and a won State Championship her senior year.  Played for Palouse Juniors and coached at Colfax Summer Camps

Libby Hurdelbrink

Libby comes to us from Southern California and is a recent transplant to the Great Northwest.  She started playing in 5th grade and began club volleyball in 8th grade having played for Pacific VBC and Channel Islands VBC in Southern California.  She then went to play two seasons at Moorpark College.  Her primary positions were setter and opposite during her playing days.  After Moorpark she moved onto Loyola University of Chicago to finish her degree.  After graduation she returned to Southern California and coached for Classic Volleyball Club, coaching their 16-1 team.    All during her club and college seasons she coached club and camps, so she has extensive experience working in youth volleyball.  We welcome her to the area as a staff member for NW Juniors VBC.

Amber is a sophomore Middle Blocker at Seattle Pacific University.  She transferred to SPU this season from Whatcom Community College, where she was named North Region Co-MVP her freshman year.  She was also the Northwest Conference MVP her senior year at Mt. Vernon High School.  She played primarily for Skagit Volleyball Club.  She plans to major in Elementary Education.  She is a great addition to the NW Juniors staff , and the pairing with her teammate Sarah Risser, makes for a great staff for 15 Heat.

Angela played for NW Juniors for several years before going on to play MB/RS/OH at Edmonds CC, where she is currently a sophomore captain. Angela has also worked several camps for Northwest Juniors in the past three years and will do an excellent job with the 15 Thunder.

Patti Reeves

Patti is a sophomore Libero Captain at Bellevue College.  In 2008, Patti was named defensive player of the week for the northern region twice and in the overall NWAACC once.  She was also a 2008 Team Captain and was voted First team NWAACC Northern Region as a freshman.  Patti  played for NW Juniors in 2008, 2008 graduate of Archbishop Murphy HS.  She has worked several camps in the past two years, including the successful Northwest Juniors summer camps as well as the All Star Volleyball Academy Camps in Yakima.  She was an assistant coach of the 18 Vortex team in Kent last year.

Lindsey started her volleyball career playing high school and club for four years.  She played competitive co-ed league ball at the University of Wyoming and has played league since moving to Washington.  This is her third year coaching for Northwest Jr's.  In addition, she has ran clinics for the Boys and Girls Club and Hazen High School and worked as one of Kim Culliton’s assistant coaches at Bellevue College in the 2008 fall season.

Simone returns as a 2nd year NW Juniors assistant coach. Last year, she coached for 18 Vortex in Kent with Kim Culliton and Patti Reeves.

Prior to joining the NW Juniors staff, Simone spent much of her life playing VB as setter and DS. Simone has played VB in the southend since 1989. She played for her High School and club teams between 1991-1994. After high-school, Simone coached 2 years for Decatur HS, played intramurals in College and currently plays on various adult teams around the sound.

Simone loves to coach VB and help young people become skilled players as well as achieve a better understanding of this amazing game.

Angie has several years experience coaching with NW Juniors.  She coached the 14 Inferno team in Kent in 2009 and has coached primarily U14's and U15's in her tenure with the club.  We are excited to have her move up and take on the 15 Inferno team in 2010.  Angie played at Foster HS for Tony Miranda, and also played two seasons at Highline CC, then graduated from Eastern Washington University with a degree in International Business Management and Economics.  She also is something of an entrepreneur, as a consultant for PartyLite

 

Megan Thompson

Megan recently moved back to the area and is an elementary school teacher in the Federal Way School District.  She played club and high school volleyball at Sequim HS and for Kitsap Juniors VBC.  She then went onto play at Gonzaga University where she was a setter and opposite for the Bulldogs.  While at Gonzaga she coached various teams for Northern Lights VBC, most recently as the U18's Head coach during the 2009 season.  She also coached for Gonzaga Summer Camps.  We are very excited to have Megan coach with NW Juniors.

Brianna Reid

Brianna played club for  5 years for Team Yakima.  She was on her high school varsity for all 4 years, followed by two years at Walla Walla Community College.  In Brianna's freshman year, Walla Walla CC placed  2nd in the NWAACC Championship Tournament followed by a 1st place finish her sophomore year.  Brianna is well versed in all positions, but she played opposite during college.  Brianna coached U16 club team at Walla Walla, and is looking forward to her first year with Northwest Jrs.  We are very excited to have to have such a standout volleyball player/coach with us this year.

A graduate of West Valley High School in Yakima, Jenessa is currently an outside/rightside hitter at Bellevue College.  Jenessa has tons of camp coaching experiences with Northwest Juniors, West Valley High School, and the All Star Volleyball Academy.  She has a great understanding of the game, and will no doubt do a fantastic job - working with her older sister.

Played from 4th grade through college.  Played her college volleyball at Puget Sound Christian College as a setter and opposite.  Began coaching after college as an assistant varsity coach at Mountlake Terrace HS -- 2003 & 2004 seasons.  In 2009, she was the assistant coach of the 14 Blizzard team for Northwest Juniors in Edmonds.

Alyssa is currently a Freshman Libero at Edmonds Community College. She went to Gresham High School, and played for Alpine VBC.  She excelled at Edmonds CC Camps this summer and worked especially well with our younger campers.  She is patient and will be good addition to the 14 Eclipse Staff.

Veronica is a sophomore setter at Bellevue College.  She played at Auburn Riverside HS where the team came in 6th in state her senior year.  Veronica played for UPVBC.  She coached at several camps for Northwest Juniors throughout the summer and has a great knowledge of the game.  She will be a great head coach for the 14 Storm.

Dakota is a defensive specialist at Bellevue College.  Dakota played at Archbishop Murphy HS as a libero, and helped her team make it to the state tournament.  She coached at several camps for Northwest Juniors throughout the summer.  Dakota's enthusiasm will be a great help to Veronica and the 14 Storm.

Megan is a sophomore outside hitter at Bellevue College.  She played at Archbishop Murphy HS, where she helped lead her team to state twice.  Megan has ran several tournaments and coached at several volleyball camps, including the Volleyball Academy of Yakima, WA.

Heidi is a sophomore outside hitter at Bellevue College, where she helped lead her 2009 team to a 1st place finish in the northern region and a fifth place finish overall.  Prior to playing at BC, Heidi played at Auburn Riverside.  Heidi has also coached at several summer camps as well.

Beth grew up in Minneapolis, MN and started playing volleyball in 4th grade. She played both school and club volleyball through out high school and received the "Love of the Game" (player of the year) award in 2003 for Club Tonka. She then attended Northern Michigan University and played and was captain of the club volleyball team for 3 years. When Beth graduated as a practical nurse, she moved to Traverse City, MI where she began coaching high school volleyball (winning Districts in 2008) and Grand Traverse Area Volleyball Club for the last 4 years. Beth is a recent transplant to Seattle, and we are very glad to have her aboard.

Amanda is new to the NW Juniors Coaching staff, and has coached for Space Needle the last few seasons.  She played college volleyball at Shoreline College and is a graduate of Juanita HS.  She played her club volleyball for NW Juniors and Space Needle.  We welcome her back to NW Juniors.

Dez is a current defensive specialist at Bellevue College.  Prior to attending BC, Dez played at Bothell HS and Rain City VBC.  Dez coached at 4 NW Jrs. Camps this summer, and did a fantastic job with the younger age groups.  She will do a great job assisting with the 12 Storm this year.

Debbie returns to coaching after having coached a few years in the Snohomish Parks system.  She has been heavily involved in the sport since her daughter Taylor took up the sport as a nine year-old and coached Taylor her U10-U12 seasons.  She has coached a few camps and worked as a tournament director the last few years, but has decided to return to coaching at the request of her husband, Club Director Tony Miranda.  She will work with her daughter, Taylor.

Taylor Brooks

Taylor  is a Junior setter at Edmonds-Woodway High School, and has played for Northwest Juniors VBC since her U14 season.  She most recently played for the 2009 16 Eclipse team, and has worked summer camps extensively.  She is a patient coach and very familiar with the NW Juniors systems of play and is a great complement to the 12 Eclipse Head Coach.

Anya Silva

Anya is currently the "C" team coach at Auburn High School.  She played two seasons at Edmonds Community College, where she was North Division co-MVP in the 2008 season and was a highly decorated player during her two years there.  She was named NWAACC Defensive player of the week and Northern Division Player of the week several times while at Edmonds.  She was also named to the 2007 First team all Northern Region team as a libero.  She played club for Kent Juniors, and was a first team all-league player her junior and senior years before joining the EdCC team.  She was also a member of the all-state volleyball team and has attended several YJOV National Championship tournaments with her KJ teams.  She was a Libero for the Tritons and has worked volleyball camps for her high school and locally.

Sarionna Rawlings

Sarionna was an assistant coach with the 15 Heat team in Edmonds in 2008.  Prior to that her coaching experience was mostly with camps.  She is a student at the University of Washington and played her club volleyball for Puget Sound VBC, and played High School at Sumner HS.

Tracie Fenton

Tracie has several years experience coaching club volleyball, including working with NW Juniors and Club Wahine VBC.  After working as Angie's assistant in 2009 for the Kent U14's team, she pairs up with her again to form one of our most effective and popular coaching staffs in the club.
